Pokémon GO: Community Day In March With Geckarbor And New Event Times
March’s Community Day revolves around plant starter Geckarbor! Surprisingly, Pokémon GO changes the event times. We tell you everything about the date, the bonuses, and the Shiny form.
March’s Community Day brings Geckarbor the first 3rd generation Starter Pokémon. On this Community Day, there are again reductions on the egg distance. For the first time, the period of the event has been changed. So you can not hunt for Shinys anymore from 11 o’clock.
Community Day March 2019 – bonuses and date
When will the Community Day start in March? On Saturday, March 23, you will have 3 hours to use the event as usual. This time the Community Day is running from 3 pm to 6 pm.
This period is the same for every player in the world. Time zones no longer play a role here, but in every country there starts Community Day at 3 pm.
What are the bonuses?
- The distance to hatch eggs is reduced to a quarter
- Lock modules last 3 hours instead of 30 minutes
- Geckarbor are increasingly found in the wild
If Niantic remains true to its line with the attacks on the plant starters, then Gewaldro could learn Flora’s statue. Bisaflor and Meganie were also able to learn this attack before.
This is how you get the attack: The special event attack can only be learned by developing.
For it to master this attack, it must be developed during the event period. But you have an hour extra time after the event has ended. After that, it will not learn this attack anymore.
Shiny Geckarbor, Reptain, and Gewaldro
So far it has not been confirmed, but it will most likely also capture the dazzling form of Geckarbor. This has been the case with every community day so far. The Shiny of Geckarbor is easy to spot because it has a red tail.
