Apex Legends: Your Favorite Hero May Have A Big Disadvantage
A fan of Apex Legends has found that the hit zones for the legend Pathfinder are significantly larger than its model. This is a big disadvantage for all friends of the lovable robot.
What is this disadvantage? Tests have shown that the different legends in Apex Legends also have different sized Hitbox.
Some heroes are so much easier to hit than others. This finding has already been confirmed by Respawn.
Who found that out? Streamer SookieSpy has reviewed the hitboxes of various heroes in a short clip. He played the tutorial and equipped himself with weapons. In the tutorial, the legends Bloodhound and Pathfinder are available as allies as NPCs.
Both have the streamer shot. Hit the ball a hit zone, spurting blood. Otherwise, nothing happened. The streamer has found that the Hitbox of Bloodhound fits the model accurately, while in Pathfinder it is much larger than his body.
This phenomenon was discussed on Reddit. There was also a response from Respawn. Apparently, the problem is already known: The Hitbox of Pathfinder is actually larger than the model.
Respawn was already discussing the phenomenon. What you will do about it, you can not say exactly.
What is Hitbox? A hitbox, or hit zone, is an invisible area around a character’s model. If you shoot a character, you will not meet his model, but the hitbox.
The hitbox indicates at what point how much damage is done. So the head counts as a critical hit zone with increased damage.
Hitboxes are based on the model and should be as precise as possible, both to facilitate the goal, as well as to create fairness:
- As you can see in the video, that’s the case with Bloodhound.
- Pathfinder, who does poorly on the animal list anyway, can be damaged even though his model is not hit at all.
What does that mean for me? For players, playing Pathfinder is a disadvantage. It is easier for others to meet him, as they do not have to aim at the model but can still hit with warped balls.
In particular, this is a disadvantage if you as Pathfinder encounter opponents with automatic weapons, such as the new Havoc in Apex Legends. The weapons have a high damage output, but to compensate also a correspondingly high dispersion.
However, the scattering is less relevant in this case because the balls can still catch Pathfinder where they would fly past other legends.
Who is still affected? Apart from Pathfinder and Bloodhound, no other legends from Apex Legends have been tested yet.
However, there is already speculation in the corresponding Reddit thread about other characters with disadvantageous or advantageous Hitbox for them:
- For example, the psychopath Caustic, with whom spectacular kills are possible, apparently also belongs to the disadvantaged legends. #
- Legendary Wraith, on the other hand, is difficult to hit because Wraith is so short and stooped.
Is your favorite legend affected?
Incidentally, if in Apex Legends you feel like PS4 Teammates are just looking up, that might be true.

Next Xbox – Premiere Allegedly On The E3, Two Models & Launch 2020
Apparently, Microsoft is in a hurry with their next Xbox and could already present it at this year’s E3 in June, as current rumors claim.
Accordingly, they run under the project name ‘Lockhart’ and ‘Anaconda’ and stand for two models, which here traditional hardware and a pure download/streaming box are meant. Both consoles should be equipped with SSD hard disks, but otherwise, have different specifications. In detail, these look like this:
Xbox Lockhart specs
- CPU: Custom 8 Cores – 16 zen threads 2
- GPU: Custom NAVI 4+ Teraflops
- RAM: 12GB of GDDR6 memory
- Storage: 1TB NVMe 1 + GB / s SSD hard drive
Xbox Anaconda specs
- CPU: Custom 8 Cores – 16 zen threads 2
GPU: Custom NAVI 12+ Teraflops
RAM: 16GB of GDDR6 memory
Storage: 1TB NVMe 1 + GB / s SSD hard drive
The download/streaming box is set to native 1080p, while the anaconda hardware offers native 4K. The latter is likely to move back up to $ 500, with Halo Infinite trading as a launch title, with a release scheduled for late 2020.
It is questionable why Microsoft is in such a hurry, while there is still no indication from Sony of an early presentation of the PS5. The early start of Microsoft, however, could also be to the detriment of the Redmond, to which Sony can respond accordingly.

Mysterious Bethesda Title Leaked On Amazon?
Mysterious Bethesda Title Leaked On Amazon?
Bethesda may be working on a previously unannounced game that could be revealed shortly. Corresponding entries can already be found on Amazon.
There, an unspecified title is listed as ‘Placeholder T03, S02 and E01’, each representing a standard version, a Deluxe Edition, and a Collector’s Edition. As a publisher, Bethesda is headed, with a potential release this year. In addition, the title for PS4, Xbox One, and the PC seems to be planned
Unfortunately, you can not find more information in the Amazon entry, but in the appendix, there is a short teaser that counts down a countdown in Old School style.
It might be possible that the entries refer to The Elder Scrolls VI or Starfield, although it is assumed that these two games only appear in the next generation. A remaster to Fallout 3 or a completely new IP is speculated on the other hand. Here you have to first wait and be surprised what is actually behind it.
